Embracing Your Hidden Life in Christ

"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." ~ Colossians 3:3 (NIV
In a world that often urges us to stand out and demand respect, the apostle Paul's words in Colossians 3:3 might seem counterintuitive. "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." What does it mean for our life to be hidden? It's a concept that calls us to shift our perspective, to find our identity not in the fleeting applause of the world but in the eternal embrace of Christ, who is ready to pour his love into our hearts.
Consider a seed that is being planted in the soil. In its hidden state, it undergoes a dark but transformative process, germinating and growing into a beautiful plant. Similarly, your life hidden with Christ is transformed by his love and guidance. It's an invitation to let go of your old mindsets, insecurities, and cravings for approval from all the wrong places. Instead, you're invited to embrace a new identity in Christ, who has unlimited grace (ability) for each of us.
When you align your life with Christ, you exchange your striving for His sufficiency. It is something that I have personally learned over the years that God can do more in one minute than we can in a lifetime. We should be free, knowing our failures and achievements no longer define us. Your value is rooted in the One who loves you unconditionally. You're freed from the need to prove yourselves to the world, for you are known and cherished by the Creator of the universe, the one who created you.
In this hidden life, we find rest. The pressure to perform diminishes (thankfully), and we can focus on growing in our relationship with Christ. We're no longer tossed around by the winds of others' opinions or cultural trends. Instead, we're anchored in the unchanging truth of God's Word. Stand your ground, mighty warrior in Christ!
Prayer
Dear Jesus, as I reflect on Colossians 3:3, I'm reminded of the beauty of a life hidden with Christ. Help me let go of the need to seek validation from the world. Instead, lead me to find my worth and identity in You alone. May my life be transformed by the power of Your love, and may I rest in the assurance that I am known and cherished by You. Guide me on this journey of embracing my hidden life in You, where I find true purpose and fulfillment. In your name, I ask and pray. Amen.
P.S. I'm still in awe of how many of you joined us last night. It was an amazing experience being in God's presence together. We heard countless stories of Holy Spirit speaking to each person that calls Christ Culture their church home during these 10 Days of Prayer. I'd be thrilled if you would join us in another prayer opportunity this Sunday, from 10 am to 10:25 am in the main auditorium at CC__C. Let's come together for a time of pre-gathering prayer and believe God for deeper transformation in our heart and in our church family.
